The door is stuck down or stuck up. Usually lost spring tension, a curtain jammed in a guide, or a motor fault. Don’t force it.

How much does it cost to repair a roller door in Sydney?

My roller door is making a loud grinding noise. Is it dangerous?
Grinding usually means dry or bent guides, worn bearings or a damaged drum. It is not always urgent, but it gets worse with use and can lead to a full failure. A loud bang, or a door that suddenly feels heavy or sits crooked, can mean a broken spring or a curtain off its guides. Stop using the door and call us.
Can I re-tension roller door springs myself?
We advise against it. The springs inside the drum hold a lot of stored energy, and releasing or winding them without the right method can cause serious injury. Spring tension is a job for a technician with the right tools.
Can you install a new roller door, or only repair?
Both. We supply and install new roller doors, including replacements for damaged or worn-out doors, with motor setup and remote programming. Lead time depends on the brand, size and colour, and we confirm it with your quote.
